Little Eggsperience // Hayden

I had the pleasure of interning at Eggers 2.0 and was able to partake and work on different experiences. Eggers 2.0 is known as a creativity factory that develops cross-media projects. Eggers is a place that combines talent with a creative contest where they select the most creative minds across Italy for a roughly yearlong internship where the main goal is to teach the interns and give them desired experience. My supervisor was Guido Avigdor who is an extremely qualified worker who has worked for some of the best agencies in Italy. I fell into a great opportunity where the company’s main goal is to please the customer and to teach its employees along the way. I was what is known as an “Egger” at the company. The “Eggers” are the contest winning interns who are not permanent staff members. I was able to complete 48 hours at the company over a roughly 2-3 month span. I was able to work alongside my co-workers with some high-profile clients.

The biggest experience that I was able to take away from this was the ability to use my creative thinking. Being a finance major, I have never had the opportunity to be this creative and brainstorm as much as I did with this job. I reached creative heights that I thought I never could at a professional level. I also was able to find different research strategies and what to look for when I am researching. Especially on an international level. That leads me to my next point and one of my favorites. I loved the fact that I was able to work in the environment with 98% Italians. That is exactly what I was looking for when I signed up for the internship experience. I wanted international professional experience especially in Italy. I was able to achieve that and more. I worked with incredible people and I worked for an incredible person in Guido. I was able to experience how the Italians work in a professional environment and how they function in doing so. I achieved exactly what I was looking for in this experience. I truly believe this has laid the foundation for me to live out my dream and have a career on an international level. I was able to work for a top-class company with great people and am now able to include this as an experience and not just an experience. An incredibly beneficial experience that has shaped me to work in a different environment that I have never experienced before in my life.
